Hainan Airlines will officially open a direct international route from Haikou to Penang starting from October 11, 2026. This is the fourth direct flight route laid out by Hainan Airlines in Malaysia, following Haikou Kuala Lumpur, Qionghai Kuala Lumpur, and Chongqing Kuala Lumpur. After the opening of the route, it will provide a new air channel for exchanges and exchanges between China and Malaysia in the fields of economy, trade, and culture.
The new route plans to operate 2 round-trip flights per week, with schedules on Wednesdays and Sundays. The departure plan is to depart from Haikou Meilan International Airport at 17:30 Beijing time and arrive at Penang International Airport at 20:45 local time in Penang; The return flight is scheduled to depart at 21:45 local time in Penang and arrive at Haikou Meilan International Airport at 01:00 Beijing time the next day. The specific flight schedule is subject to actual inquiry. In response to differentiated travel needs, Hainan Airlines simultaneously offers diversified products such as prepaid luggage, in-flight upgrades, and business packages.
